One Tier At A Time started out as a home based cake business. We have since expanded to cupcakes, cookies and many other treats. The idea began in early 2003 when myself, Melanie and my husband, Michael became certified cake decorators. Our good friend wanted us to make her wedding cake, so we thought we’d take some courses to learn the ropes.
Melanie loves to bake and finds cake design the perfect creative outlet. Her attention to detail and love of all things wedding create the perfect marriage for a home-based cake business.
As of November 2011, Melanie became a certified Wedding Planner from Humber College.
Melanie continuously upgrades her techniques by attending courses both in person and online.
In 2016, Melanie decided to go back to her original love of non-edible goods and now provides the perfect accents to your edible goodies, such a favor tags, seating charts, gift card holders, invitations and more.
