This year for my birthday I decided to so a sloth theme. Sloths are my spirit animal; not because they are lazy but because they remind us there’s no need to rush around in the world. They remind us to take a moment and enjoy every inch of the world around us.
I couldn’t get or find the decor I was looking for so I decided to make my own. It’s always fun seeing everything come together.
And of course, I couldn’t forget the matching sloth cupcakes!

Another school year has come to a close, which means a lot of new graduates.
I put together these cute black glitter card stock toppers for a set of graduation cupcakes. Quick and easy, but they looked great on top of some teal colored buttercream icing and a confetti cake cupcakes.
The other half of the cupcakes were teacher themed fondant toppers that included a graduation hat, some books, a ruler, an apple and chalkboards.

I’ve had the pleasure of being part of this family’s festivities for a while. I made their wedding cake, the baby shower cake, the baby’s Baptism cake and now I got to make Isabella’s 1st birthday cake! Of course, she had to have a unicorn themed birthday (Honestly, I think she just copied me as I had a unicorn themed birthday last year!)
The unicorn cake was whimsical and the color combination of purple, pink and blue worked together perfectly. Little did I know that they would match the table skirt and tutu that Isabella would be wearing.
The unicorn cookies were a sugar cookie with royal icing. So fun to make! Is it strange that I find icing cookies relaxing even though it takes hours?
Little Isabella needed a “smash cake”, so she got a special pink cupcake.
Isabella’s mom and friends did a wonderful job provided all the other sweets and the fantastic unicorn paper backdrop. Check out those amazing paper flowers. And last, but not least, the tulle table skirt I mentioned before provided by Designs by La’Shanda (she also made a wonderful tutu for Isabella and a personalized shirt). Everything looked absolutely magical!
We couldn’t let people go home empty handed so I designed these cute thank you cards. Photography was done by Nostalgia Photography.
